\u201cShark Tank\u201d star and investment adviser Kevin O\u2019Leary is warning that Vice President Kamala Harris, if she\u2019s elected president, will become America\u2019s version of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, an uber-leftist who has overseen that country\u2019s stunning decline in status and economy.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Leary made the remarks during a Friday interview on NewsNation, where he described Harris as the \u201cit kid\u201d but criticized her as a \u201cblank sheet of paper\u201d on policy positions despite her previously holding several extreme left-wing views during her unsuccessful 2020 presidential campaign.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t blame her for not bringing up policy. She should just rant and rave, saying \u2018I\u2019m not Trump\u2019 until August 7 because she\u2019s raising so much money,\u201d he said. \u201cBut then, she\u2019s got to talk policy, and I don\u2019t know what that looks like, and nobody does because she\u2019s like a blank sheet of paper.\u201d<\/p>\n
The last \u201cit kid\u201d in Western policies, he said, was Trudeau.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s an example of an \u2018it kid\u2019 up in Canada a few years ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau,\u201d he said. \u201cNobody looked at his background. Nobody looked at his policies. He was the \u2018it kid.\u2019 That country is on its knees! He wiped it out!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAre Americans basically going to hire or basically bring a president that\u2019s another Justin Trudeau?\u201d he asked. \u201cI hope not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former President Donald Trump is leading Harris by three percentage points in a recent national head-to-head survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports.<\/p>\n
\u201cTrump came out ahead 49% to 46%. That amounts to a slight gain for Harris, who was lagging behind Trump 45% to 49% in Rasmussen\u2019s poll last week.\u00a0When third-party hopefuls were added to the mix, Trump came out on top again with 47% to Harris\u2019 45%, followed by independent contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at 4%, and all others at 1% or less, per Rasmussen,\u201d the New York Post reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cRasmussen\u2019s findings are an outlier among recent national polling. The conservative-leaning firm has often been at odds with other top pollsters. In 2016, it was among the closest firms to the final result.\u00a0Harris is averaging a two-point lead over Trump in the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate of a national five-way race. In a two-way race, her lead slips to 1.5 percentage points,\u201d the Post added.<\/p>\n The race for battleground state polling has also become much more competitive, with several firms obtaining varying results in the major races.<\/p>\n Harris is still behind Trump, though.<\/p>\n Trump is predicted to receive 287 Electoral College votes to Harris\u2019 251 in the battleground state estimate by RealClearPolitics, taking all of the big swing states with the exception of Wisconsin.<\/p>\n Lately, polling has been good for Trump.<\/p>\n Trump appears to have retaken his lead in polling after an initial surge in support for Vice President Kamala Harris following President Joe Biden\u2019s decision to end his reelection campaign in July.<\/p>\n Harris has enjoyed a solid month of favorable reporting in most mainstream media outlets \u2014 all of which lean to the left on their editorial pages \u2014 while Trump\u2019s coverage has been proportionally negative. According to Axios<\/a>, previous polling by the Cook Political Report published last week showed Harris leading Trump in Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Similarly, a New York Times\/Siena College poll<\/a> released last week found Harris with a narrow lead in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n However, a more recent survey by Navigator Research, published Tuesday<\/a>, indicates that the race is essentially tied in Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Individually, Trump leads Harris by one percentage point in Arizona (46% to 45%) and by two points in Pennsylvania (46% to 44%), while the other three states are in a dead heat.<\/p>\n The Navigator survey is consistent with the\u00a0RealClearPolitics Polling<\/a>\u00a0average of battleground states, which also includes Nevada and Georgia.<\/p>\n The vice president is performing better in the battleground states than Biden did before he exited the race last month.
