ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View\u201d co-host Sunny Hostin has deleted her X account following\u00a0Donald Trump\u2019s presidential election win, saying she believes it was a \u201cpatriotic\u201d act.<\/p>\n
During an interview on the\u00a0\u201cBehind The Table\u201d podcast, Hostin said she no longer wants to be associated with the social media website because it\u2019s owned by Trump supporter Elon Musk.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the most patriotic thing I could do right now is just to delete the account. Elon Musk took it over and I feel like he ruined it. Black Twitter was a thing that I loved and it was sort of replaced\u2026 with misogyny and racism. I don\u2019t want to be affiliated with anything that he owns. I\u2019m not going to buy a Tesla, I\u2019m not going to buy Tesla stock,\u201d Hostin said.<\/p>\n
Last week, when Hostin blamed Trump\u2019s victory on \u201cuneducated white women\u201d and Latino men, she was mocked on the social media platform.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think [Trump\u2019s victory] had nothing to do with policy, I think this was a referendum on cultural resentment in this country,\u201d she stated during the episode of \u201cThe View\u201d recorded the morning after election day.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy do you think uneducated white women voting against their reproductive health freedoms, and why do you think Latino men voted in favor of someone who is going to deport a majority of his community,\u201d the co-host asked Rick Klein, ABC political news director.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think white women like being called uneducated white women,\u201d co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin snapped back.<\/p>\n
Later, Hostin corrected herself, stating that \u201cnon-college-educated white women\u201d was the correct term to use.<\/p>\n
